Who he was
Born about 1740, son of Reb Yaakov, rav of Linsk, and himself rav of Linsk; father of Reb Naftali Tzvi Horowitz of Ropshitz. He is NOT Reb Menachem Mendel Horowitz of Linsk (1805-1868), son of Avrohom Chaim Horowitz and founder of the Linsk dynasty, who is a later and different man, and he has no connection to the Horowitz rebbes of Rozwadów.
