Who he was
Father of Rabbi Shneur Zalman of Liadi, the Alter Rebbe and founder of Chabad; some Chabad sources give his name as Yisroel Boruch. He must not be confused with Reb Boruch of Mezhibuzh, the Baal Shem Tov's grandson, who is buried in Medzhybizh.
