Who he was
Son of Rebbe Yechezkel Shraga Halberstam of Shinov (Sieniawa), the Divrei Yechezkel, and grandson of the Divrei Chaim of Sanz; he lived and led in Tarnów. He must not be confused with Ben Zion Aryeh Leibish Halberstam the Bobover Rebbe, murdered near Lwów in 1941, nor with the Rabbi Aryeh Leibish Halberstam who died in 2015 aged 94.
