The exact grave coordinates are not confirmed yet — go by the address and ask locally. We don't publish a coordinate we haven't checked.

1.There is no identified, standing, marked kever for the Minchas Chinuch in Ternopil, and we will not pretend otherwise. Ternopil's old Jewish cemetery was vandalised in the war and finally demolished in the 1960s, with the matzevos reportedly broken up to build a road and a military airfield near the Pidvolochysk highway. Do not route a group here expecting to find his stone.
2.He died in 1874, after the old cemetery had closed, so the newer ground — Nove Okopisko, opened in 1840 at the corner of Mykulynetska and Pavlova streets, opposite the Christian Mykulynetskyi cemetery — is where he would have been buried. That is an inference from the dates, not a record of his grave. About 240 gravestones survive there, and no source we could check identifies his among them.
3.His burial in Ternopil rests on Wikipedia, dbpedia and Wikidata rather than a first-hand kever record; one genealogy site claims he died in Tzfat, which the other sources contradict.
4.If Ternopil is on your route, have someone local check the new cemetery for the stone before you commit a group to the stop, and confirm anything you are told on the ground.

Yosef ben Moshe Babad, born 1801 in Przeworsk, rav of Bohorodchany, Zbarazh and Sniatyn before being appointed Av Beis Din of Tarnopol in 1857, a post he held until his petirah in 1874 — not to be confused with the twentieth-century Rabbi Yosef Babad (1905-1997), a different man with his own biography.
