Known kevarim

רבי ישעיה וועלטפרייד מפשעדבורזש

Rabbi Yeshaya Weltfreid of Przedbórz

First Pshedborzer Rebbe

Born in Łask, son of Reb Meir son of Reb Elyakim Getz of Łask — he and his father Reb Meir were both talmidim of the Chozeh of Lublin; he was rav in Przedbórz from 1788 and took up the leadership of a Przedbórz chassidus in 1815 after the Chozeh's petirah, and chose the surname Weltfreid when the government required family names. He is the founder of the dynasty, not his son and successor Reb Immanuel (Emanuel) Weltfreid, who died in Warsaw in 1865 and is buried there.
