1.The cemetery is on an isolated hillside on the suburban edge of Michalovce, reached by turning off a public road. A Jewish community has existed here since the 18th century (chevra kadisha founded 1792).
2.Nearest major city and airport: Košice (~50 km west). Košice has the nearest active Jewish infrastructure — an Orthodox community on Puškinova/Zvonárska Street with a mikvah, kosher butcher and regular minyan, plus a Chabad presence. Kosher food, lodging and davening are best arranged in Košice.

Per the International Jewish Cemetery Project the cemetery is walled with a locking gate but described as 'open to all,' owned by the local Jewish community. No published on-site caretaker or hours were found — arrange access in advance through the regional contacts below.
