First rav of Kuty, son of R' Menachem Mendel Kitover
Son of R' Menachem Mendel Kitover and the first rav of Kuty; he died in 1738, and the Kuty yizkor book records that he opposed the Baal Shem Tov at first before accepting him. He is not the Baal Shem Tov's brother-in-law — that was Rabbi Avraham Gershon of Kitov (c.1701-1761), who is buried on Har HaZeisim in Yerushalayim, not in Kuty.
