1.Kisvárda is in NE Hungary (Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg), ~44 km NE of Nyíregyháza and ~84 km from Debrecen. The cemetery has a Holocaust memorial (2005); a heritage foundation re-erected ~700 tombstones and built a perimeter fence.
2.There is no kosher infrastructure in Kisvárda itself. The nearest Jewish-travel hub is the Tokaj/Kerestir region to the west: Bodrogkeresztúr (Kerestir) has Reb Shayele's Guest House with kosher meals, lodging, a shul and mikvaos year-round.
