Rabbi Amram ben Diwan
The tzaddik of Ouezzane
Born in Jerusalem and living in Chevron, he was sent to Morocco in 1743 as an emissary raising funds for the yishuv in Eretz Yisroel, and stayed to teach. He was niftar in 1782 on a return visit to Ouezzane and was buried at Asjen. He is among the most visited kevarim in Morocco, and among Moroccan Jews the one most associated with refuos.
